LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Real estate appraiser, Amado Aguirre, was accosted and seriously injured, when he was mistaken as a “paparazzi” while trying to obtain “comp” photographs outside the home of former spice girl, Melanie Brown aka “Melanie B” aka “Scary Spice of the Spice Girls,” according to the suit filed by Law Offices of Frederick S. Schwartz.
Aguirre had been hired to appraise a home in “Spice’s” neighborhood.
As standard operating procedure, Aguirre was looking for similarly valued homes in the neighborhood to the one he was hired to appraise. Unaware that the home belonged to a celebrity, Aguirre parked his car in the street in front of (Spice) Brown’s driveway and began to take some photos while seated in the driver’s seat of his automobile.
According to allegations in a civil suit filed by Frederick S. Schwartz, Esq. on behalf of Amado Aguirre in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, Van Nuys (case no. LC 088734), Melanie Brown was outside her home at the time walking her dog, noticed Aguirre and motioned to her husband, producer Stephan Belafonte, and an employee of theirs, to confront Mr. Aguirre. Belafonte stood in front of Mr. Aguirre’s vehicle while the employee walked up to the driver’s door, reached into his car and attempted to seize the camera from Mr. Aguirre’s possession. In the scuffle, Mr. Aguirre suffered serious bodily injury.
